So I have this tracker thing on my Tumblr [thank you, Josephine (@enihpesoj)!] and it shows me the IP addresses, locations, and how long people have been on my page. So I was looking at it, and someone from Sunnyvale was on my page for a good 15 hours. Umm.. Really? Hahaha.
Day 19 - Nicknames you have and why you have them
These first couple of nicknames are what my family/church fambam call me.
- KC: The initials of my first name (Katelyn Charmaine)
- Kayce: Short for KC? haha I dnno.
These nicknames listed below are what Raymond calls me. B/c we’re “disgustingly adorable,” as Crystal would put it, and we call each other cute things, hekek!
- Sweetie Pie: B/c I had a nickname for him when we first started talking and he wanted one for me. “You’re sweet, and I like pie”
- Princess: B/c I call him my pwinth chawming (yeah, you gotta say it like you have a lisp), so yes. Oh and b/c we were talking one day and I told him the only way to wake up a princess is with a kiss, and ever since then, he calls me this.
- Babe, Baby, My Everything: B/c hello. This is what cute couples do.
The nicknames I’m about to list are just like.. Derived from talks w/ people and they call me these things at times.
- Dreamer: Michelle calls me this. We were having a talk about what we wanted in our future and it has just stuck around.
- Best: Alyssa’s nickname for me. B/c I’m the best. Hahah jk. B/c I’m her besssfraan, d’awww.
- Grlfrand: Mazzie’s nickname for me. B/c she is seriously going lesbo for me. Haha sike! B/c she loves me and.. I dnno why, actually.
- Oval: Waylon calls me this b/c it’s an inside joke about swag.

While Alyssa, Kristian, Joshua, David, and I were eating at Wendy’s today, an older guy came up to us. Not like, a super old guy with white hair, but one with a beer belly, cap, and looked like he had kids. Haha. I suppose he noticed Kristian’s IHS sweater, so as he approached us, he said, “Do you guys go to Independence High School?” We all looked at him and said yes. He then replied, with a smile on his face, “When I graduated from Independence, Brass Monkey was at the top of the charts. Beastie Boys. Yup.” I’m not sure why, but all of us looked at each other, smiled, and said, “Daaaang!” He found some sort of enjoyment in that and as he walked away, he said, “Have a good day, guys.”
One of the many things that put a smile on my face today.

How did I know I’d get this question.. Haha. Well, things have been going on with me and him.. We haven’t seen each other in about 7 weeks, so his feelings kinna faded b/c it’s easier when we see each other. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say, I mean, he’s happy. And what he told me last night about how “no one makes me happy like you do..” well, it just made me realize that he finally realized, you know? Him and I are on really good terms, don’t get me wrong. And as crazy and tough as this time is, we’re working toward our main goal of fully trusting each other again and getting back together.

Couples, be thankful.
I didn’t get to see my boyfriend for about 7 weeks, and to this day I still haven’t seen him. That’s kind of why we drifted apart.
So, to those couples out there:
If you get to see your significant other everyday, or at least on a regular basis, BE THANKFUL. If you get to hold their hand and feel the warmth of their embrace throughout the week, BE THANKFUL. If you get to kiss them when you wake up or before you go to sleep, or at least somewhere throughout the day, BE THANKFUL. If you have the opportunity everyday to look into their eyes and realize why you fell in love with them, BE THANKFUL. If you get to just be in their presence as much as you want to, BE THANKFUL. Because so many of us would KILL to have that. So many of us can’t even go a day without seeing our significant other. So if you’re lucky enough to spend every waking moment with yours, BE THANKFUL.
To those who are in stable, long distance relationships: I give you guys props. I have no idea how you do it, but you do. I have the utmost respect towards you guys.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t want to switch lives with anyone. As challenging as my life may be, I know God gives me trials to strengthen my faith and character. I learn something new everyday and I don’t want that to change. I’m learning to be content with everything and I’m just happy to be who I am. I wouldn’t dream of being anyone else.
