Mellifluous.

So right about now, I probably would have fallen asleep on the phone while Isaac is awake. I called him kind of late tonight because I had to get some stuff done, but he already fell asleep ): So I left him a voicemail instead and now I’m just watching Disney Channel (which is not really good btw since they canceled all the good shows).

I’ve grown accustomed to talking to him until I fall asleep so it’s kind of hard to knock out when we don’t talk on the phone. As tired as he is, he’ll wait for me to fall asleep and then he’ll hang up and text me good night.

Boo, I’m going to try to fall asleep now. Good night Tumblr.

And it’s only been 20 minutes into the movie, right. She keeps asking what’s going on.. it took 4 of us to explain to her what was happening and she still didn’t get it. Haha all she keeps saying is, “Huuuh?! Whaaat?! I’m confuuuused!” Oh geez, 2 hours and 10 minutes more to go :P

I hate seeing you change for the person you like. Little do you know, I have realized a lot more about you than you think. The things you’re into now, you weren’t into before she entered your life. I’m just saying: don’t feel the need to change for her; don’t feel the need to be interested in every little thing she likes. She’ll like you for who you are, not who you think she wants you to be.

This happened two nights ago, but I forgot to blog about it. So, I was on the phone with Isaac and he was telling me that he told his six-year-old brother, Jaden, that he asked me to be his girlfriend. Their conversation went like this:

Isaac: Hey Jaden, I asked Katelyn to be my girlfriend today.
Jaden: What?! WHY?! IIIII was going to ask her!
Isaac: .. Jaden, you’re six..
Jaden: SO!? I’M THE ONE THAT LIKES HER! Not you!
Isaac: Too bad, I asked her first. You’re too young for her.
Jaden: Fine, but when you guys break up, I’m going to ask her to be my girlfriend.
Isaac: Uh, if we even do break up, that won’t be for a long time. I really like her.
Jaden: I’m mad now.

hate: [heyt] noun; to dislike intensely or passionately

You know, it always sort of breaks my heart when I hear people say that they hate their family or their parents. I mean, I understand you get mad sometimes and that they’ll give you restrictions, but you have to remember how strong of a word hate really is. Come on now, you’re saying you’re hating the people who brought you into this world and raised you into the person you are now. So what if they’re strict on you sometimes? They’re just looking out for you; you have to remember that your parents aren’t always just “out to get you”; I can genuinely guarantee that they want what’s best for you. Studies show that the one thing that hurts a parent most is when their child leaves. Yeah, your parents will butt heads with you and tick you off, but that’s all a part of growing up. Let them help you with your mistakes, listen to them more often because they know what’s best, and make sure you give them the credit they deserve. Most importantly, love them and be grateful that you have people who actually care about you when instead they could have thrown you out of the house a long time ago. Face it: they put up with a lot of your constant nagging and you don’t even give them half the thanks and credit they deserve.

Basically stayed home alone today. My day consisted of:

• Laying in bed for 3 hours
• Cooking myself breakfast / eating
• Taking out the trash
• Phone with my boyfriend before he went to practice
• Eating again
• Being on Facebook
• Tumblr
• Twitter

I miss you guys. It feels like forever since we’ve actually hung out. I hope all of you have fun at camp this year; it’s always a life-changing experience. Well, I guess the reason I’m typing this is because I really do miss each and every one of you. It seems as if we’ve drifted apart but I know that we’re a family no matter what. Wherever your journeys are taking you in life, I hope you’ve all been doing well. May God continue to bless each one of you and hopefully I’ll see you all again soon. I love you guys!<3

You know what I love most?

I love how comfortable we are with each other. I love how we endlessly make fun of each other, but never take the teasing to heart. I absolutely adore how when I turn away from you when I pretend to be mad at you, you grab me and pull me closer to you. I love the random kisses you give me. I love holding your hand. I love being in your arms. I love how we can keep a conversation going throughout the day without it ever getting boring. I love how you’re the one person who has taken the time to figure out every little thing about me to the point where you can predict what I’m going to say. I love how you can make me laugh and smile to no extent.

I love the person I am when I’m with you.

Right now, the only thing I miss about school is seeing all my friends on a daily basis. Yeah, it’s summer, which means I should be making more plans with them.. I do, but it’s not the same as kicking it at lunch or break or even just talking in class. A lot of my friends are busy. I don’t know, I just.. *Sigh, I miss a lot of people right now. Haha.

I like seeing people’s reactions to my new relationship status. I mean, my relationship does not revolve around what other people think, but it’s kind of cool (for lack of a better word) to see what other people say. And let me tell you: word travels pretty fast haha. Isaac came into Link Crew today and Sabrina whispered to Robinne, “Katelyn’s with that guy” haha. Everyone was saying congratulations and that we’re cute together, so that’s nice. :) Just a random happy moment I wanted to blog about hehe.

I grew up listening to the Backstreet Boys. They were the first band I went to see in concert.. when I was 4 years old. Hahaha.

It’s weird that I remembered my dreams from last night. I usually only remember one, but this time I remembered all of them.

• My first dream was that I was at Joecell’s house, returning my dress from her cotillion. While she was lying down in bed some dude that I don’t even know came in and surprised her with flowers. Hella random or what hahah.
• My second dream was that the whole class of 2013 was imprisoned at school for a night (I don’t know why) and we were sitting outside somewhere on some steps. It didn’t even look like our school, though. But yeah. We were locked outside or something. It was weird because in my dream we had a cafeteria and I guess that was the building we were sitting outside of. It was really late at night too. The doors of the cafeteria opened and some older guy was like, “Whoever screams gets free food” so we all screamed and he gave us free cafeteria food. Yeah.
• My last dream.. Oo that was the best one. Haha. In that dream, Nick Jonas had a huge crush on me and was trying to start a relationship with me or something haha. We were in a hotel somewhere with his family (yes, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas were in my dream as well, along with their little brother, Frankie) and I was using Nick’s Macbook to go on tumblr, haha! He came on to the bed and sat behind me wrapped his arms around my waist and started kissing me on the shoulder. Hella random, but whatever, it was Nick Jonas. He looked at me and said, “I really like you. I don’t think you know.” Then Kevin, who was sitting in the chair next to the bed, said, “You’ve had a crush on her for a long time, get over it.” And I was like, “I like you too, Nick.”

Then I woke up because Isaac called me.

But yeah. My dreams last night were weird hahaha.

Try hards and wannabes annoy the hell out of me.

Cot damn, man. I freaking like you so much, you don’t even know.. Sometimes I feel like I don’t even deserve you because you’re so good to me. I honestly cannot remember the last time I was this happy. I could go on and on about you (and I’m sure I do in some cases). You are incredible and I am extremely blessed to have you.

A lot of girls irritate me. I enjoy hanging out with guys a lot better.

People always say that relationships go through some sort of “stages.” While some of that might be true, you have to remember that every relationship is not the same. You could say that “the chase” is evident in most blossoming partnerships, but everything after that is all completely dependent on the two individuals. Each relationship takes its own course and I think people tend to forget that; they’re so concentrated on what they see and hear from the media that they apply what they think is knowledge about some overrated relationship instead of actually letting the relationship play out for itself.

It irks me when people make assumptions about me without knowing the real story. Whether they assume I am feeling a certain way or if they assume they know something about me but really don’t.. I don’t know, it just pisses me off. I’m not one to really care what other people think about me, but if they get the wrong impression then of course it’s going to be bothersome to me. I’d appreciate it if people took the time to ask me things instead of assuming.

I didn’t have time to do this yesterday. But last day of the challenge, whooo!

Dear Me,

Hmm. I am proud of you. In your sixteen years of living, you have seen and heard a lot, encountered many problems, and yet seem to be the strong person everyone admires you to be. Remember to keep God in the center of everything; He is the only one who will love you unconditionally. Although times get hard, the tough get going and that is most definitely what I have seen you do. You are incredibly stubborn sometimes but do what is right and keep a kind heart even when others can’t. I am glad you are able to always have a smile on your face and look at the positive side of things. Everyday you seem to grow as a person. Don’t let others down and remember to be a role model to your siblings. When it gets hard, stay strong. Stay happy. Those are the two things you’re the best at. Oh, and being weird. Yeah, I think people like that about you. You know that is a big reason why Isaac likes you, haha. Keep doing what you are doing, kid. It will get you places. Follow your dreams and do not tell anyone that you cannot do something. Prove people wrong.

I have to admit whenever I think about you, whether it is at the start or end of my day, I smile. You’re just that important in my life right now. Thank you for keeping that smile on my face.

Growing up, I’ve learned not to get my hopes up or be too overly excited about anything. I mean not to brag or anything of the sort, but I usually get what I want. But if there’s something I’ve grown to accept, it’s that things aren’t always going to go the way I want or plan. I’ve realized the things I get the most excited for usually don’t happen. I think that’s why I just stay content with the moment and if something’s bound to happen, it will.

Dear Stranger,

You might have bumped into me when I was walking in the hallways of school or just made quick eye contact while we were at the store. Whoever you are and however we crossed paths, I would just like to say you have potential. The potential to do whatever it is that you want. Don’t let anyone get you down or tell you that you can’t do something. Because the truth is, you can do whatever it is you set your mind to. Follow your heart and have faith. I don’t know your story, heck, I don’t even know your name, but whatever you have been through, take those experiences and turn them into positive motivation. Don’t let your pass harass you; instead, use the outcome and experience of the situation to better yourself and your actions. Keep a good heart even when others can’t. Don’t worry about what other people say about you, as long as you know the truth. Their opinion of you shouldn’t matter as long as you know who you are and what you want. Remember to be yourself without being ashamed of who you are. It’s guaranteed you have a beautiful personality that someone out there is going to admire. It’s rare to come across people who are sincerely genuine. In my years of growing up, I’ve realized that everyone is a hypocrite, including myself. But other than that, I’ve met some wonderful people who have a beautiful personality. I love coming across people who have good hearts and good intentions, because for me, I don’t find that a lot. Everyone is beautiful and has potential, we just have to find it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And if anything, that’s the one thing I’ve learned.

It makes people feel superior because they’re hiding their identity. They feel that they can say whatever they want, no matter how crude or disrespectful. Forreal, I doubt they’d have they balls to say half the things they say on the internet, in real life. Honestly, I would be more respectful of your opinion if you showed your face. I just think it’s funny how people take the time to write a (what they think is) rude comment yet hit the anonymous button; maybe if you weren’t so ashamed of what you had to say, you’d show your face. Silly anon, cyber-bullying is for insecure, scaredy cats! Oh wait.. that’s what you are. Insult whoever you want but at least you can match their opinion to their face instead of them hiding behind the anonymous button.

So I was heating up chicken in my toaster oven, right (you know, put foil on the tray and put the chicken there and stick it in the oven)

I was talking to my cousin at the same time and when I went to get something to drink from the fridge, I saw smoke coming out of the toaster oven

In my head I was just like, “Oh, it’s just toasting, whatever”

But then I sat down at the table and looked at the toaster oven to see if it was done toasting my chicken and all you see inside the toaster oven are flames

So I just got up and stared at it HAHA

My cousin wanted to throw water on it and I said no

Instead of trying to put it out I was just freaking out because if it seeped out of the toaster oven, it would catch onto my wooden cupboards which are ALL OVER THE KITCHEN

And the flames grew bigger so I was just like okay time to put it out

So I put it out with tongs

And my chicken tasted like smoke ):

So, I got my report card in the mail.. if there was one word I could use to describe what I saw, it would be: disappointment. I honestly don’t know why I allowed myself to slack off this year. Just thinking about it, it’s seriously going to do damage to my future.

I know I say this every year but I really am going to strive for better grades next year. I told my mom what I saw and even told her it would be okay to ground me, but she didn’t. I cried to her saying that next year I promise to bring home a 4.0 because I want her to be proud of me. She said, “It’s not that I’m not proud of you, it’s that I know you can do better because that’s not acceptable.” We made a deal that if I don’t step my game up, I can’t drive til I’m 18. I’m fine with that deal. Hello motivation.

Mommy, even though you don’t say you are disappointed, I’m sorry for disappointing you. I’m sorry for disappointing myself. I’m going to bring you home that 4.0 next year, I promise.

So, Isaac came over today and when he was about to leave for football practice, I started to become clingy. I don’t even know why I didn’t want him to leave. Anyways, he was hugging me and holding my hands and for some reason I didn’t want to let go. I rested my head on his chest and told him that I had to go inside so I wouldn’t get in trouble. He was about to leave and he kissed my forehead. I said, “Okay, I really have to go now. I don’t want to get in trouble.” With our hands still intertwined, I went on my tippy toes and was about to give him a kiss on the cheek, but the punk turned his head so that I landed on his lips instead. He smiled and I said, “You cheated!” And he gave me another peck on the lips. I didn’t expect that to happen, but it was a pleasant surprise. :)

Hi fag. I really don’t miss you and I don’t want you to have a wonderful day today. Haha, just kidding, best!<3 Okay, in all seriousness, you’re the definition of a true best friend. I’ve had really bad luck with “best friends” before, but once you came into my life, you changed that. I am inspired by the way you put effort into the friendship that we have, managing to stay here for the past 6 months. If there’s anything I want you to know, it’s that I’m extremely grateful for everything you do for me; whether it’s texting me good morning or listening to me whenever I have to vent, I just want you to know that every little thing you do is appreciated. I’m glad we can joke around with each other without any of us taking the teasing to heart. You’re one of the very few people I wish to keep in my life for the longer line of days. I love you so much and I want you to know that I’m always here if you ever need anything. Stop being so hard on yourself and remember to think positive!
